Congratulations,

on the opening of the first Veterans' Office of the Bundeswehr in Berlin Mitte! Last night was truly a historic moment for us. Over 80 invited guests from the military, veterans' associations, and politics eagerly awaited the opening speeches by the State Secretary at the BMVg, Ms. Siemtje Möller, and the Federal Government's Commissioner for the Armed Forces, Dr. Eva Högl.

The handover of the keys in the form of a large cake key to the head of the Veterans' Office, OTL Krause, was a particularly joyful highlight. The presence of the press and their extensive coverage underline the significance of this event.

After the official opening, the evening continued in a relaxed atmosphere with catering and various drinks. During this time, many forward-looking discussions took place between the different groups and associations.

As Recondos, we have worked hard on this topic for over 17 years, constantly encountering obstacles and having to deal with various challenges, even discussions within the BMVg.

We see the opening of the Veterans' Office as a major partial success on the way to Veterans Day and its establishment among the population.
